Пиплы, у кого нибудь есть подписка на архивы New York Times.

Думаю многие читали шутку Веллера про тов. Зорина, про то как товарища Зорина и ограбление. Кто-то сделал поиск по архивам NYT и не фига не нашёл. Соответственно Веллера теперь обвиняют в том что он выдумал всё от начала и до конца. Мой поиск по архивам NYC на фамилию Зорин, нарыл таки одну подходящую статью, но полного дотупа у меня нет, может кто нибудь глянуть?

У Веллера в его "легендах" и "байках" - вообще ни слова правды. Один апокриф о Моше Даяне чего стоит. Как сказано у классика - "враньё от первого до последнего слова". Да и история Фимы Бляйшица не имеет ни малейшего отношения к действительности.
Так что думаю и про Зорина - пиздёж наглый. Не то чтобы я Зорина сильно уважал, но уж Веллеру-то точно верить нельзя.

И, кстати, я не нашел в архивах упоминания о том, что ограблений было ненастоящим, более того, оно вызвала реакцию федеральных властей (см. ниже), так что Веллер, похоже, взял действительный случай и добавил туда вранья.
